When Justice meets Ego

Slashdot has been reporting news about the 13-year-old that was sharing MP3s online who got into legal trouble from the RIAA. At first legal actions where being taken against the mother, Candy Chan. She claimed that she couldn't be held responsible for her daughters actions. This prompted the RIAA to sue the child, Brittany, directly. However they said that the (now) 14-year-old could not be sued without a legal guadian.

So the RIAA is appointing one.
